How much sod is on a pallet?
Typically 400 to 500 sq ft, though it varies by supplier and roll size. This planner defaults to 450 sq ft and lets you change it to match your supplier's actual figure.
How much extra sod should I order?
Five to ten percent. Curves, tree rings, and bed edges all mean trimming, and offcuts rarely fit anywhere else. Order a little extra rather than being short by two rolls on a Saturday afternoon.
How soon do I need to lay sod after delivery?
Same day if you possibly can, and certainly within 24 hours. Stacked sod heats up and starts breaking down quickly, especially in summer. Prepare the soil completely before the delivery arrives.
